What you will learn

→How care funding is assessed in England, including what triggers a financial assessment and how the local authority calculates contributions.
→When assets are included or excluded from the assessment, including the rules around property, joint assets, and disregards.
→The common mistakes that families and professionals make when navigating care funding, and how to avoid them.
→What NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) is, how the framework works, and how to identify whether a client may have a case for a full assessment.

This course covers English law and the English CHC framework only. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland operate different systems and are not covered.
